Mercury

Attendance is expected in this course. Any student with four absences will be sent a WF warning letter. Upon a fifth absence, the student will be withdrawn from the course.

Before coming to class you are expected to have read the assigned sections of Caveman Chemistry. There will be a reading quiz at the beginning of each class period and each quiz will have a single question worth 1 point. If you miss a reading quiz, either because of absence or ill-preparedness, you may make it up by attending a Friday afternoon (2:00) Chemistry seminar and writing a one-paragraph summary in your notebook. Put the page number of your summary in the inside front cover of your notebook, just as you would for a quiz.
