To give you practice in taking ACS standardized exams, you may take one as many times as you wish until you are satisfied with your grade. You will take the same exam each time, but you will be told only how many questions you answered correctly. After each taking, you may ask questions about specific problems, but you may not take notes. You will earn points toward your grade according to the following table:
In order that I may gauge how you stack up against students at other institutions, you must take the American Chemical Society Standardized Exam in General Chemistry. We have not covered all the material on this test, but the same will have been true for most students taking it at other institutions. There are 75 questions and the mean score nationally is 40.84. You will earn points toward your grade according to the following table:
