John Doe

Doe, John Edward. Born at Richmond, Virginia, 9th December 2003; died at Richmond, August 8, 2081. Worked for several companies before retiring.

Doe was born to average parents, went to the usual schools, and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a C average in Generic Studies. He got a job with his father's company, where his performance was adequate. He married an average girl and together they popped out 2.4 children, sending them to the usual schools. He traded-in his mid-size sedan on a new one every three years. He retired to the Sunset Old People's home, where he ate, slept, and worried about whether his investments would run out before he did.

In his lifetime Doe watched over 80,000 hours of television, which was typical of those in his generation. He liked to watch baseball, though he never played it himself. In a letter to his brother-in-law, he predicted that the Richmond Braves would have an average season in 2077. Though the Braves moved to Reno in 2075, they did, in fact, have an average season two years later. In addition to sports, Doe excelled at watching sit-coms and weather. When he retired, his children ensured that his television was no smaller than the average for other retirees.
