Soda-Lime Glass

Soda-lime-silica glass is by far the most common.

There are no “fixed” proportions; glass is a solution and solutions have variable composition.

6 parts washing soda; 2 parts limestone; 7 parts silica

Different glass compositions will exhibit different properties, particularly different annealing temperatures.
