If you found this page, you have the opportunity to claim amnesty for one absence. You can even get amnesty for an absence you haven't even had yet. Kind of like absolution for a sin you plan to commit. Just print out this page, sign it, and turn it in at the beginning of class on Thursday, September 6, 2001. Print it now and put it in your wallet. You will be mad at yourself if you forget, and it must be in at the beginning of class.
I understand that my instructor only cares that I was absent. He has no interest whatsoever in why I was absent. I understand that I am allowed three absences for any reason without penalty. A fourth absence will result in a WF warning letter from the Dean of Students and a fifth will result in my withdrawal from the course (WF).
I understand that this form provides amnesty for one absence if turned in by the due date. Amnesty for an absence will also be granted for each scheduled field trip I attend.
I understand that I may use the laboratory facilities only during V period.
I understand that I may attempt to pass each quiz only once per day, 8:30-5:00 M-F.
I understand that only one project may be passed per class day, M-T-Th, as listed on the grade sheet. The last day to turn in a project is Tuesday, December 11. I will not whine during the last week of class when I realize that there are not enough days left for me to get the grade I want.
