Our July launch was held on the 27th from noon til 4 PM. Our waiver was renewed, and the winds from the SW allowed for high-power flights. Attending were regulars Kevin Dunn, Tim Raney, and Floyd Pence. Tim brought with him special guest Richard Hull of the Richmond High Energy Amateur Science group. New to our launch were Rich and Marc Vanleer. We had 12 launches from 1/4A to H163. Two rockets were lost–all others were successfully recovered. The highest flight belonged to Tim Raney flying his Experimental Rocket #10 on an H100-9 to an altitude of 3259 ft. Sadly, on his next launch, ER #10 drifted off into the brambles in the direction of the cell tower, and the rocket was lost.
